URSH Seminar in Crikvenica: Mobbing and Strike

Crikvenica, October 3–5 – Organized by the Union of Workers’ Trade Unions of Croatia (URSH), a seminar for union members was held. The main topics of the seminar were mobbing and strike.

Lecture on Mobbing

Blaženka Rogan, an expert in the field of mobbing, in her lecture warned that mobbing is a deliberate and systematic violation of human rights. It involves continuous psychological and emotional violence, harassment, and discrimination against the victim with the aim of eliminating them from the workplace. The consequences are always psychophysical damage and illnesses, Rogan emphasized.

Lecture on Strike

Tomislav Rajković, president of URSH, delivered a lecture on strike with an emphasis on prerequisites, assumptions, and methods of implementation. He highlighted the importance of legal and organizational preparation before initiating a strike to ensure it is lawful, effective, and in the interest of the workers.

Conclusion

The seminar in Crikvenica enabled union representatives and members to acquire additional knowledge and tools for recognizing and combating mobbing, as well as for the preparation and implementation of a strike as a legitimate union tool in the fight for workers’ rights.
