URSH Seminar on Collective Bargaining in Sveti Filip I Jakov

Sveti Filip i Jakov, September 18–20, 2022. – Organized by the Union of Workers’ Unions of Croatia (URSH), a seminar for union members was held on the topic of collective bargaining. Special emphasis was placed on methods and strategies for conducting collective bargaining.

Seminar Objectives

The aim of the seminar was to strengthen the capacity of unions for effective collective bargaining, exchange experiences, and prepare union representatives for achieving better collective agreements.

Presentation by the President of URSH

URSH President Tomislav Rajković emphasized in his presentation that the primary goal of concluding a collective agreement is to negotiate a higher level of labor rights than those prescribed by the Work Regulations and the minimum standards of the Labor Law. He shared with participants his own experiences in collective bargaining and highlighted the importance of union unity and well-prepared negotiating teams.

Conclusion

The seminar in Sveti Filip i Jakov provided an opportunity for union representatives to exchange experiences, learn new negotiation strategies, and further strengthen their role in protecting and advancing workers’ rights through collective agreements.
